Kitchen Designer/Sales Associate

 

 

The Kitchen Company in North Haven, CT is looking for professional and experienced Kitchen Design Sales Associates to design and sell for the fastest growing Wood-Mode dealer in Connecticut. Established in 1953, The Kitchen Company has been a leader in the kitchen design and remodeling industry for over 60 years. We have one of the largest, best-appointed showrooms in the state with a major independent appliance dealer and showroom located next door. 

 

We have a strong internet presence with many top rated customer reviews and we are looking for talented and creative individuals who are willing to go the extra mile to make our clients happy and exceed their expectations. The ideal candidate is passionate about design and has the ability to sell their design ideas while providing the highest caliber of customer service.

Required Experience & Skills:

  • Four (4) or more years of kitchen design and sales experience
  • Must be proficient in 20/20 CAD design software

 

Desired Experience & Skills:

  • Knowledge of/ experience selling Wood-Mode is a plus
  • Design experience with a high attention to detail
  • General construction and remodeling knowledge
  • Ability to communicate professionally with staff and customers
  • Problem solving skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Time management skills for juggling multiple projects and meeting deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Must have access to reliable transportation in order to get to work and to visit customers’ homes
  • Eagerness to learn, grow, and improve skills

 

Duties & Expectations:

  • Greeting customer on the sales floor and determining their wants and needs
  • Provide outstanding customer service
  • Keeping up-to-date on the selection of products we have to offer
  • Building client relationships and networking regularly
  • Maintain showroom by keeping samples and displays current and organized
  • Must display positive and constructive attitude when working with clients and other employees
  • Strive to exceed customers’ expectations
