About the Design

During the remodel of their 1920s Victorian-style home, New Haven homeowners Danny & Melissa enlisted The Kitchen Company to design a traditional kitchen with 1920s era flair.

Designer Ron Fisher explains, “The clients wanted to update the kitchen but keep within the old Victorian style of the home.” Using the distinctive architectural elements of the home as inspiration, Ron pulled the elegance and old Victorian charm into the kitchen design to achieve the homeowners’ design vision.

The dark Crystal island is Maple Slate with Pewter highlight – a unique blue-gray stain that compliments the wall color and the Larson diamond-pattern tile backsplash. Contrasting light and dark counters top the perimeter and island cabinets. The crisp white perimeter cabinets are topped with a rare shist counter while the island boasts a Carerra marble top.
