In this kitchen southern yellow pine floors establish the base of the room. The knotty wood immediately sets the tone and style for the kitchen, giving both a rustic yet cozy feel. The modern elements above contrast nicely with the floor.
A viking professional style gas range and hood stand out boldly in the cooking space. Black details such as a painted black distressed island, range and hood serve as anchoring elements against the painted red and glazed cabinetry, the light granite counters, wood floors and open architectural aesthetic. The resulting look is striking when combined.
The drain board is routed into the granite countertop at the sink. The utilities in the room are designed to fit as an integral part of the design, neither hidden, nor out of place. It creates a perfect backdrop for the antique style—modern and timeless. We absolutely love the finished sight of this kitchen!
