Midcentury Modern Kitchen in Guilford, CT

About the Design

Lindsay bought a beautiful mid-century modern home in Guilford Connecticut. She had previously redone the dining and living room but the kitchen was her largest project to date. With the help of The Kitchen Company designer, Ron Fischer, they were able to design a clean, contemporary and functional kitchen.

Style was a motivator for renovating this kitchen, but most importantly the client's wanted to make the most of their small space. By removing part of the wall that separated the kitchen and living room, Ron was able to make room for a center island. He was also able to create a functional u-shaped kitchen complete with a double wall oven, a 36" fridge, and a 36" cooktop, sink, and dishwasher.

Cabinet Details

The kitchen cabinetry is manufactured by Crystal Cabinets, with the door style Springfield in the finish Ev Rosewood. The flooring is white oak and backsplash is 3 x 12 subway tile by WOW. Homeowner, Lindsay completed thekitchen with accent pendant lights by Tech lighting and gorgeously contemporary CB2 Vapor bar stools.

The clean lines and crisp edges give the space a modern look while the wood cabinets bring in warmth and interest. This sleek kitchen design is now a perfect match for the rest of the homeowner's gorgeous mid century modern home.
