About the Design

This featured kitchen was designed by John Fecke, co-owner of The Kitchen Company, for a new home in Cheshire, CT. The kitchen combines traditional elements, such as coffered ceilings and detailed crown molding, with transitional cabinetry elements to create a clean, crisp and uncluttered feel.

The open floor plan connects the kitchen to the dining area, which shares a unique, rich, wood-panel, double-sided fireplace with the family room. The layout is welcoming and family-oriented, perfect for a growing, young family.

Owner/designer John Fecke worked with Justin Haley, custom homebuilder and owner of Haley Built Homes, on the project. John says, “The craftsmanship of the home is exquisite. Justin and I took a real team approach to meeting all of the clients’ needs for a classic yet updated look.”
